Summary
Canberra Imaging Group is the largest private diagnostic
imaging service within the Australian Capital Territory and southern New
South Wales.
Canberra Imaging Group was formed following the merger of a number of
smaller radiology practices with the origins of the group having a history
beginning in the 1950s and the most recent merger being completed in October
1998.
Canberra Imaging Group is committed to the provision of
the highest standard of patient care and the pursuit of technical excellence.
Canberra Imaging Group maintains a high level of medical imaging technology
and clinical expertise. This means that in some specialist areas of medical
imaging Canberra Imaging Group sites and specialists are the only suppliers
of services in this region. Canberra Imaging Group has a number of sites
throughout the ACT and southern New South Wales including Queanbeyan
and Goulburn. Three of the ACT sites are located on the major hospital
campuses of Calvary Hospital, The Canberra Hospital and Calvary John James Hospital. The remaining sites are conveniently located at easily accessible
sites with onsite parking.
Support services and education are a significant part of the services
provided by Canberra Imaging Group. These include publications for both patients and clinicians
and education forums which have been developed with local clinician involvement.
Ownership
Canberra Imaging Group is wholly owned by the doctors working within the
group. There are currently 14 Partners comprising 11 Radiologists and
3 Nuclear Medicine Physicians.
