Canberra Imaging Group (CIG) provides high quality comprehensive diagnostic imaging services as the largest provider in the ACT and surrounding NSW region. CIG recently joined the Sonic Imaging family, further solidifying our place as a provider of premium imaging services.

We are seeking candidates to fill the permanent full-time and permanent part-time (minimum 3 full days a week) positions available within our Patient Booking Service (PBS) contact centre located in Phillip, ACT.

Successful applicants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencing work, unless medically contraindicated, as per ACT Public Health (Health Care and Support Workers COVID-19 Vaccination) Emergency Direction 2021, as well as NSW Public Health (COVID 19 Vaccination of Health Care Workers) Order (No 2) 2021.

As the first point of contact for our patients and referring practitioners, PBS Operators are essential to our organisation. In this role you can make a positive difference to a patient’s experience.

PBS Operators are responsible for scheduling diagnostic imaging bookings for patients across our sites in the ACT and NSW.

The successful candidates will have:

  • an exceptional telephone manner
  • well developed customer service and communication skills
  • close attention to detail
  • empathy and compassion towards patient and referring practitioner needs
  • the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • the ability to work autonomously and cohesively in a fast-paced team environment
  • demonstrated competency in the use of standard software packages
  • experience in a call centre environment managing a high volume of inbound calls (highly desirable)
  • knowledge of medical terminology (highly desirable).

Training will be provided to successful applicants.
