The Role
An experienced Medical Transcriptionist is sought to join our dedicated team of 8 transcriptionists on a part-time basis for a fixed term 12-month contract (full days on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays) in a busy, fast paced environment, whilst maintaining compliance with CIG transcription protocols.
The successful applicant must be vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencing work, unless medically contraindicated, as per ACT Public Health (Health Care and Support Workers COVID-19 Vaccination) Emergency Direction 2021, as well as NSW Public Health (COVID 19 Vaccination of Health Care Workers) Order 2021.
This is a remote home office-based position working on a rostered shift basis. The home location must be within a 1 hour driving distance from Goulburn and/or Canberra.
You will need:
- a dedicated home office area that is compliant with WHS principles and where patient confidentiality can be maintained;
- an interruption free environment;
- reliable/modern internet plan and phone connections; and
- public liability insurance.
The successful candidate will:
- have a commitment to deliver high quality customer service through accurate and timely report typing
- possess good dictaphone operation skills and have experience in transcribing from audio files
- have a Statement of Attainment in Medical Terminology and demonstrated relevant previous industry experience for multiple modalities
- have a proven typing speed of 50 words per minute with high attention to detail and 98% accuracy
- have the ability to work autonomously whilst in a team environment
- be reliable and results focused
- have experience in a busy and fast paced environment
- have a demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality
