Canberra Imaging Group sites have local managers who are responsible for the day to day operation of the sites. Below is a list of the current Site and Office Managers:

Kellie Byrne | Site Manager


Kellie joined Canberra Imaging Group 15 years ago as a Registered Nurse, becoming the Site Manager of the Angiography and Interventional Suite in 2014.
Kellie works closely with a dedicated and professional team of Interventional Radiologists, Radiographers, Nurses and Administrative staff.
Kellie is passionate about clinical practice, ensuring that all patients are provided with a high standard of care during their day stay.

Debbie Phelan | Office Manager


Debbie commenced her role as Office Manager in 2006, two years after the Angiography and Interventional Suite opened.
Debbie's previous experience includes Royal Canberra Hospital, Administration in Accident and Emergency, Woden Valley Hospital, Ward Clerk and Reception for a local General Practitioner.
Debbie provides a comprehensive service to our day stay patients and is committed to patient care.
The Angiography and Interventional Suite is renowned for its professional and high quality care of patients before and after interventional procedures.

Paul Robertson | Site Manager


Paul has worked in the Health Industry for more than 25 years. He attained a 'double degree' which commenced with a Bachelor of Nursing at RMIT in Melbourne. This was followed by a Masters (GE) of Diagnostic Radiography at Sydney University. He joined Canberra Imaging Group as a Radiographer in 2010 and is now the Site Manager at the Belconnen practice. Paul's extensive Nursing and Medical Imaging experience, in both public and private settings, has given him a strong focus on quality and patient focused care. Paul's specialty areas include General Radiography, Computed Tomography and Management.

Bruce - Calvary Private Hospital

Paul has an extensive history of professional practice within Diagnostic Radiology. He has spent his last 16 years with Canberra Imaging as a Site Manager. He has experienced almost all that radiology can provide over his 30 plus years of clinical involvement.
His cornerstones for both his clinical work and his managerial style are based on high standards of clinical practice, empathy for his patients and staff, and a continual engagement with his peers and referrers.
Paul is currently the Site Manager for the Calvary Private Clinic and the Calvary Bruce Private Hospital Radiology Department.

Ellen Anderson | Office Manager

Bruce - Calvary Private Hospital

Ellen has been with Canberra Imaging Group for 9 years. She has been working out of the Calvary Private Clinic rooms for all of this time, and now at the Calvary Bruce Private Hospital, beginning as a Medical Receptionist and now is the Office Manager of the site. During this time Ellen has become a familiar face to many of the specialist rooms on the Hospital Campus and works hard to accommodate the varied services they require in the efficient and timely manner that they have become accustomed to. She works closely with Calvary Hospital's wards and theatres to service inpatient and pre-surgical procedures, and also the Medical Imaging Department when they require assistance.
Ellen has a strong relationship with the regular radiologists that work on site and it is with this great teamwork that they are able to provide an efficient and caring health care service.

Tammy Tait | 2IC Office Manager

Bruce - Calvary Private Hospital

Tammy joined Canberra Imaging Group in February 2008 after a long sales career in the Belconnen area providing customer service and management. She has primarily worked at our Belconnen and Calvary Private Clinic rooms. Her commitment to providing a professional service has seen her hold management positions at both sites. She is currently the 2IC Office Manager at our Calvary Private Clinic at the Calvary Bruce Private Hospital.
Over the years with CIG, Tammy has become a familiar face and voice, developing both professional and personal relationships with the North Canberra community and medical professionals.

Shamani Pillay | Site Manager


Shamani has vast experience in Medical imaging, qualifying in 1991 in Durban, South Africa. Prior to emigrating in 2002, she worked at King Edward VII's Hospital where she gained experience in all facets of radiography. Shamani was Site Manager at the Garran site for 10 years before moving to our Deakin locality in 2014. Although she performs most modalities, her radiographic interest lies in CT, Vascular Angiography and Mammography. Shamani leads a team that always strives for clinical excellence, whilst still maintaining a high level of patient care.

Debbie Roberts | Office Manager


Debbie has been an employee of Canberra Imaging Group for 18 years. She commenced her CIG career as a Medical Receptionist in 1999. Over the course of her employment Debbie has successfully managed her role as Office Manager at various CIG sites. Since 2007 Debbie has been the Office Manager at the CIG Flagship Site at Deakin.
Prior to commencing at CIG Debbie held the Practice Manager position at a private medical practice in Canberra for 7 years.
Her overall experience and the knowledge that Debbie has gained from these positions, accompanied with her general life experience, her professionalism and “can do” approach, supports CIG in delivering an excellent customer service.

Joelene Templeton | 2IC Office Manager


Jo has been an employee of Canberra Imaging Group for 14 years. She commenced her CIG career as a Medical Receptionist. Over the course of her employment Jo has successfully progressed through a number of roles including Clerical, Office Management, Clerical Roster Coordinator and Work Health and Safety Coordinator. Since 2015 Jo has been the 2IC of the CIG Flagship Site at Deakin supporting Debbie, the current Office Manager.
Prior to commencing at CIG Jo practised as a Dental Nurse at a busy dental surgery.
She has completed her certificate in Infection Control, Dental Nursing qualifications, Dental radiography qualifications, Diploma in Medical Management, certificate in HSR/WHS and holds a current first aid certificate.
The overall experience and knowledge that Jo has gained from these positions, accompanied by her general life experience, supports CIG in delivering excellent customer service.

Mark Whalan

Mark Whalan | Site Manager


Mark has been involved in diagnostic imaging for over 30 years, having begun as a student with ACT X-Ray in 1984.
Mark has worked at the Erindale site since 1988, holding roles such as senior radiographer and Site Manager and developed strong local ties in the medical community. He is a strong advocate of high patient care and quality radiography in both CT and X-ray.

Lisa Jones | Office Manager


Lisa has been with Canberra Imaging Group since June 2016, and has recently taken on the Office Manager role at Erindale. Prior to this, Lisa was working at the University Super Clinic location for almost 2 years, where she started to coordinate the appointments for Autologous Tenocyte Implantations (ATIs) through Ortho-Cell.
Lisa has achieved a Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and previously worked in Hotels and Retail for a combined 19 years. Lisa strongly believes in excellent customer service and professional patient care.

Colin Mercer

Colin Mercer | Site Manager


Colin is a Nuclear Medicine Scientist who provides high level diagnostic imaging services in a professional and caring manner to patients at Canberra Imaging Group.
Colin knows that the services provided enables accurate diagnosis, which leads to appropriate and effective treatments to improve patient outcomes.
Colin has supported the introduction of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) at CIG in 2017, which now provides a crucial oncology imaging service to Canberra and the surrounding region.
Colin is a highly trained specialist in Nuclear Medicine, PET, Computed Tomography (CT) and Bone Mineral Densitometry.
Colin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Nuclear Medicine from The University of Sydney.

Justin Selkirk | Site Manager


Justin commenced employment with Canberra Imaging Group in 2004 after graduating from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science in Nuclear Medicine. During his time with CIG, Justin has further studied to expand his expertise into Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD), Computed Tomography (CT) and Positron Emission Technology (PET), which is provided at Garran as the first privately owned and run PET department in the ACT.
Justin provides the highest level of patient care, ensuring the patients' needs and comfort take priority. Not only does he work well independently, he also works collaboratively in a team to make the Garran site a productive but relaxed, welcoming environment.

Angela Broomby | Office Manager


Therese Duncan | Site Manager


Therese has over 35 years of experience in the world of radiology. She trained in Sydney at St Vincent's public and private hospitals.
Therese has extensive experience in X-ray, CT, mammography and angiography overseas, in Sydney, Canberra and locally.
Therese enjoys working with her staff to provide a quality pleasant service for all.
She has worked and lived locally for over 15 years, having been with Canberra Imaging Group since 1998.

Alex Cartes | Site Manager


Alex has worked in Diagnostic Imaging for more than 30 years.
During this time he has worked in both Chile and Australia.
He has been employed with Canberra Imaging Group since 1992 when he immigrated with his family, and has extensive experience in General Radiography, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Alex takes pride in his ability to offer an excellent standard of imaging combined with a high level of patient care.

Fay Harrop | Office Manager


Fay has been with Canberra Imaging Group for 10 years. She commenced with CIG in 2007 at our Deakin office on reception, then moving to the Gungahlin office where she is now the Office Manager.
Prior to her employment with CIG Fay had spent some years raising her family before returning to the workforce when they all started school. She started working at the John James Hospital in the laundry department and would deliver linen to the CIG Deakin Office.
Fay has a lot of empathy for patients and is very customer/patient focused. She has always had an interest in the medical profession and enjoy going the extra yards for both our patients and health professionals that we deal with in our day to day jobs.

Queanbeyan Super Clinic

Christine's first role in the medical industry was as the Receptionist and report typist for a Consultant Surgeon in Sydney between 1974 and 1980. After having children and moving to Central West NSW in 1988, she took a job with the only private pathology company in the region as Office Manager - their area covered from Lithgow/Bathurst in the east to Lake Cargelligo in the west. It was interesting and varied work from blood collection for the Red Cross, working closely with BreastScreen NSW, Dudley Private Hospital IVF Program as well as the more usual pathology work.
She has a love of all things fabric and took a break from office work to open a small specialist fabric store in Orange until they moved to Canberra in 2006.
Christine applied for a role with Canberra Imaging Group as a receptionist. Since joining the company she has been given many opportunities, firstly working with the remote reporting team. Christine was then seconded to the Calvary Bruce rooms as 2IC and then Office Manager for the next 8 years. She was then given the opportunity to help with the consolidation of the Queanbeyan rooms in July 2016 to our present site in the Queanbeyan Super Clinic.

Danielle Hackett

Danielle graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) Degree. Over the past 15 years, working at Canberra Imaging Group, Danielle has completed training and developed skills across a wide range of Imaging modalities. These modalities include X-ray, Mammography, Angiography, Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Danielle has managed the clinic at the University of Canberra since it opened in 2014, and takes pride in the high level of patient care and quality imaging that CIG provides at University Super Clinic. Although Danielle enjoys the challenge of management, patients are, and have always been her main priority as a radiographer. For this reason, Danielle maintains a full clinical focus, with a special interest in MRI and CT.

Katrina Jukes | Office Manager

Katrina is a professional Office Manger working with Canberra Imaging Group since 2010. Katrina has worked in customer service roles nationally and internationally and has over 15 years of combined management experience.
Katrina has achieved her Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and has an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management.
She is passionate about providing the highest level of care and customer service to all of her patients.

Belinda Leneghan | Patient Bookings Service Coordinator

Belinda has been a member of Canberra Imaging Group since 2008.
As the Patient Bookings Service Coordinator she is dedicated to customer service and to maintaining customer satisfaction.
